What this service is
ordermytranscript.ca is a free ordering front door. You tell us what transcript you need; we share your order with certified Authorized Court Transcriptionists (ACTs) so one of them can respond to you and take your order. The transcript itself is produced, certified, and delivered by that independent transcriptionist — not by us.
What this service is not
- Not a transcription agency — we don't produce or certify transcripts.
- Not the Ministry of the Attorney General, a court, or the official ACT registry (that's courttranscriptontario.ca).
- Not a law firm. Nothing on this site is legal advice. If you need advice about your case or your deadlines, talk to a lawyer or paralegal.
Estimates and prices
The estimate on this site is exactly that — an estimate, based on typical page counts. Your final price is the regulated per-page rate multiplied by the actual certified page count, which your transcriptionist confirms. Per-page rates are set by Ontario Regulation 94/14 and no transcriptionist can charge more or less per page. You pay your transcriptionist directly. We never charge you anything.
Our response promise
Our goal is that a certified transcriptionist responds to your order by the end of the next business day (Toronto time). If that doesn't happen, we keep working to find you someone who will. We can't guarantee that any particular transcriptionist will accept your order or meet a particular deadline — delivery timelines are agreed between you and them.
Deadlines are yours to guard
Court deadlines — especially appeal deadlines — are serious and time-sensitive. Order as early as you can, and confirm timelines directly with your transcriptionist. We're not responsible for consequences of a missed deadline.
How we're paid
Transcriptionists on our panel pay us a flat referral fee when an order books. This never changes what you pay — rates are set by regulation.
Fair use
Submit real orders only. Don't use the form to send spam, test attacks, or someone else's personal information without their permission.
Liability
We provide this service as-is and, to the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of it — including the acts or omissions of independent transcriptionists, delivery timelines, or the accuracy of estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that Ontario law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes
If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
